E322 - Lecithin
By the Daat team · Updated October 30, 2026
E322 is lecithin, an emulsifier made almost always from soy or sunflower.
An emulsifier holds fat and water together; in chocolate it also helps it flow during production. It is the second most common additive in Daat’s catalog, mostly in biscuits, cakes and chocolate.
Check the source: soy lecithin counts as a soy allergen, sunflower lecithin does not. Both are vegan.
2,241 products in our catalog contain E322, or 13.3% of those with an ingredient list. Most of them are cakes, biscuits and pastries and chocolate and sweets.
